Emergency Conferencing
The emerging threat factors from cyber hacks and ransomware – along with increased catastrophic weather events – have greatly elevated the need for emergency communications. How do you inform, strategize and respond to threats when the very network that you are using may be compromised? Increasingly, security experts and consultants recommend maintaining ‘secondary band’ communications in place should such an event occur. In the event of an emergency, a first responder dials a dedicated number which tells the system to create a conference and triggers a blast dial-out to the other members of the response team. Each team member is then joined directly to the emergency conference in progress, or, if configured, team members are prompted to join before being added.
