This innovative approach allows for scheduled bookings to be seamlessly fed into VCC, showcasing a new capability that extends beyond our core model of inbound, distributed ad-hoc communications.
The Concept
At its core, this initiative demonstrates that Video Call Center can support both ad-hoc and third-party scheduled calls. The result is a webpage that displays a calendar with available booking sessions. This feature allows users to schedule meetings through a streamlined, automated process.
How It Works
The setup is straightforward yet effective and efficient. When a user books a meeting through either a scheduling service the platform checks and validates the booking against predefined schedules and calendars. A confirmation email, including a calendar (.ICS) file, is then sent to both the booker and the organization. This email contains a connection URL, which the user clicks at the scheduled meeting time.
Upon clicking the link, the user is directed into a special “priority queue” on the bridge, where they can be picked up by the assigned agent for their scheduled meeting. This process ensures that meetings are organized and managed efficiently.

The simplicity of the setup lies in its external configuration, which relies on existing booking platforms to handle scheduling and confirmations. This approach makes it easier for organizations to adopt and implement without significant changes to their current infrastructure.
